screen freezes but task mangr unfreezes it

I am running wk2000 Pro and my screen frequently freezes,when I press ctrl +alt +del task manager doesn,t appear as it normally would but it clears the freeze,I can then carry on with what I am doing.

Hi there. Does this happen on all user accounts? Does task manager appear when you Ctrl-Alt-Del from an unfrozen state? What if you right-click taskbar and select task manager?
If still no luck getting task manager to appear, can you log in as administrator and try it.
Some malware disables the task manager so if you are unable to get it to show at any point, I'd recommend you head over to CyberSafety and get this system checked out.

thanks for your reply.When I right click on task bar ,task manager appears as normal.The only time it doesn,t appear ,is when the screen freezes ,then bringing up task manager will unfreeze it without task manager appearing,it,s the operation of the ctrl+alt+del keys that unfreeze.

I forgot to answer your question ,"does this happen to all user accounts",by this, I imagine you mean emails from all sources,the answer is yes it does.I can click on links on the web o.k. though.
