Can anyone simplify this guide?

Hi im trying to follow this guide but i dont understand it, i understand it up to the bit about opening a command line window. If someone could explain it in more detail that would be great.

"CD to the directory containing the .VB files" means "Use the Change Directory (CD) command to navigate to the folder where you put the .VB files."

For example, if you put the files you copied from the game disk into a folder on the C: drive and named it ViceCity, you would type "cd c:\vicecity" (without the quotes) and press the Enter key. The prompt (the stuff to the left of where you type) should change to C:\vicecity, meaning that anything you tell it to do will be done in that folder.

If you've copied the files from the game disk to a subfolder of the My Documents folder, it gets a little more complicated so I suggest you go ahead and put the folder with the files you copied from the game disk onto the root of the C drive instead.

"Convert each VB file with the Decode program like this: decode vrock" means "Type the word "decode" (without the quotes) followed by one space followed by the name of the file you want to decode, press the Enter key."

Apparently, this will only work if you've already downloaded the decode program and put it in that same folder.

Sorry, I've told you all I know about anything to do with command line stuff regarding what you're trying to do.

If oracle is correct and ripping the music from a game CD is illegal, we're not going to be able to help you any more anyway.
