Outlook express - delete email

Hi, I am using windows 98SE I have a problem with deleting emails from outlook express (I highlight the email that i wanted to delete and click on "X" for delete or I tried also select from edit - delete) eventhough I shutdown and login again and do the same steps also does not remove the email. Please help me to solve this problem.:confused:

My guess would be that your user profile is corrupt.
Try to back up your inbox,outbox, sent...
Then recreate your profile and copy them back to the folder.

Not sure which folder is it :(

It may just be a corrupt Deleted Items folder.

In OE, go to Tools>Options>Maintenance tab and click on the Store Folder button. That will tell you where OE is keeping its email. The name of the folder will be a long string of numbers and letters.

Navigate to that folder in either My Computer or Windows Explorer, whichever you prefer. With OE closed, delete the "Deleted Items.dbx" file in that folder. OE will create a new one when you open it.

Open OE and see if messages will then delete properly.
