Hello,

I would like to delete and than reinstall a slightly newer version of my video card S3 drivers.

3 other sources including S3 have suggested 3 different ways of doing it. The only thing I'm sure of is houw to get into the VGA mode.

How would you finish it?

I couldn't get CAll Wave to work and their technicians couldn't either. Someone suggested re-installing my AWE 64 sound card drivers. So the above would hel[p here too mayber. Thanks. REA

"The only thing I'm sure of is houw to get into the VGA mode."

Right Click on a empty space of the Desk Top, Click on Properties, Click on Settings, then Click on Advanced Properties. Now Click on the "Change" button for the Adapter. Put a "tick" or "dot" in the "Show all devices". For Manufacturers choose "Standard Display Types". Now choose "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)". Click OK.

Restart the Machine and have your new Drivers ready in case the Computer "Finds New Hardware". If not, great. Go back to the "Change" button in the "Advanced Display Properties" and Click on "Change" Then "Have Disk". Finish installing new drivers.

That's one way to do it.
