Question about nintendo ds and netgear wireless router

I've been trying to get my kid brothers nintendo ds to work with our wireless router, but can't seem to get the hang of it. Does anyone have any idea how to go about and do that? Thanks.

I don't have a DS, so I can't answer specifically, but as far as I've seen and as far as I've read there isn't any tricks to it. Just make sure you are using WEP for ecryption, it doesn't appear the DS supports AES.

To connect to the network do you have to put in a password? If you do, is it random letters and numbers or is it a word/phrase type password?

Just to add to Archangels comments, you can tell if you are using encryption by going into the control panel and then into network connections. Right click on your wireless card and click on view available wireless networks. You should be able to see your network there, and it will say if its encrypted or not. The reason why Im saying this, is because you only have to put in the wireless encrytion code the first time you connect to it (if enabled). Windows remembers it after that.

If you are not currently using wireless on any of your home pc's you will have to log into the router config page and check to see if wireless encryption is enabled and what the code is.
