Would it be possible to use a USB printer if it were connected to a USB af to RJ45 adapter and into a wired router?

No .... the printer needs to be a Network enabled printer to do that.

You can share the printer on a Network though, if it's connected to one of the PC's in the Network.

What if I bought a Print Server such as the Netgear PS121. How would I set this up?

well, you could try reading the instructions that come with it. basically it plugs into the router and a printer plugs into the server.

If you go for it, check the Printer Compatibility list, as not all printers are supported :

Thanks for your help. My printer is in the compatibility list. I was more wondering how I would set up my router (linksys WRT54GL) and WinXP for the print server. Would I need special drivers?

As renegade600 said, it's simply a case of connecting the Print Server to the Router and then the Printer into the Print Server .... all you need will be in the box.

Have a look here : http://www.netgear.co.uk/usb_print_server_ps121.php and check out the data sheet link.

Thanks a lot. It sounds so simple when you put it like this:

"basically it plugs into the router and a printer plugs into the server."
