After a format you need boot your pc using your floppy boot
disc. From there install your OS if you have it on floppy discs. |

Your best bet would be to download a Windows 98 Startup Disk creation program which has all the tools you need for installation preparation and also has the CD-ROM drivers to be able to use it for the installation unless you have W95 on Floppies, in which case you just plug in Disk 1 and boot with it.
To get the W98 boot disk program, go HERE and download the Windows 98 SE OEM boot disk creation program. Save it to an appropriately named file and then using Windows Explorer, browse to the new file and double-click on it. This will "run" the program and if you follow the prompts, you'll end up with a W98 Startup Disk. To start the installation, insert the new boot disk into the computer and turn it on. When the menu appears for you to select with or without CD-ROM support, choose with and let the boot disk set things up for you. At the command prompt type SETUP and press ENTER - this should start the installation. |
