I have 3 systems built exactaly alike 1 will connect to internet plugged directly intomodem the other 2 tell me that I have limited or no connectivity no matter what I do.does anyone no why? The other thing was that the 2 that don't work quit at the same time

Do you happen to have a spare network card to test with?
What could have happened is if the two were plugged into a router or something and the router got an electrical shock to it, it could have damaged the cards.......this has happened to me b4.......only way to really test if the port is dead is to put in a new network card and see if it works....but you should wait for a smart person to come before you go out and start buying stuff unless you want to just pay $15 or whatever it is for a new card to test.
