On my 13" monochrome monitor, everything looks like crap. I'll pass this one up.

From Rainbow's link:
You don't point out that their advertising is false advertising. PCshowbuzz is fine if you like made-for-internet cartoons and movie trailers, but they promise "your favourite channels" and "1000+ tv channels" and this is a straight lie. They have a few tv channels, but you can find at least as many for free with media player or realplayer.

I don't want made for Internet Cartoons.
I have been looking for somthing good to watch TV over the internet for ages.
I have a 2meg connection so I stream videos all the time, the TV signal round here is rubbish, we can't even get freeview.
I use sites like http://www.southparkvideos.blogspot.com/ all the time to watch things like southpark, but I want to be able to watch live TV etc.
My TV is 14" CTR with one speaker on the side, my computer 19" TFT 7.1 Suround Sound, its clear why I want to use the PC
Are there any genuine programs out there?

Do you have a TV Card in your PC? http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/pro...prods_pvr.html

We have the PVR 350 on one PC, which hubby watches all the time and I have the MCE500 on mine because I have a Media Centre PC. We cant do the Digital Freeview thing either, its all done through the aerial and is great. Dead easy to use too.

If you get the current issue of Computeractive Magazine (no. 223) there is a good article in it called 'Watch TV on Your PC'

No but im thinking of getting one, I might go for one of the higher end Terratech ones http://tven.terratec.net/modules.php...rticle&sid=240 as I like the sound of hardware encoding.
Thanks Julie I will look out for that.

Might get one of these to match... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...rol_Units.html

THIS IS MINE Its dual tuner and everything I think its pretty high-end. Im not familiar with terratec. What do you need hardware encoding for? Is it only digital or does it do terrestrial aswell? Mine seems to do all the things the terratec does, but then Im no expert

In the original post, all I can see is the title Any Good???

Then a blank space.

Then more comments from Dudeking.

It is though there is something missing

Oooo Verry nice TV card Julie, I think it's better than the one I was looking at.
It has two hardware encoders

All it means it that the card does all the work, on the cheaper ones the computers CPU does the encoding which will slow the PC down, but on the better ones the card will do it all.

Im not familiar with terratec eather, was the first make I looked at and wanted to look like I knew what I was doing lol.
Yes, your right, I just didnt want to get scammed.

Sorry bean, like Julie I didnt know what you didnt understand
Guess the link just didnt show for you...It is there...honest...
