Fonts Seem Corrupt

I am having trouble with fonts displaying correctly in Windows Media Player (all right side text is displayed as small boxes). Now I just purchased an upgrade to my McAfee Virus Scan and when I inserted the disk into the CD Drive I got the same little squares. The only word that was legible was :"EXIT". This also happens when I transfer my .mp3's from my computer to my MP3 player (iRiver). The song titles look like a slew of little boxes (each box representing a letter followed by.

I think there is a corrupt font. I've tried several things and so far nothing works. Any suggestions? Please..............
