number 6 in toolbar

I have a win 98se O/S IE 6.0 lately when I have been in a chat room the text style will change followed by a number 6 appearing in the forward back tabs(buttons) on the toolbar. I have to close, and restart IE anyone know what is happening?

Hi rovini

Not sure whats is causing the problem
but you might try reinstalling IE6.

Look in the "C:\Windows\Windows Update Setup Files" folder.
Double click the ie6setup icon, that will launch the ie6 installer.
Just follow the prompts to reinstall ie6.

After reinstalling ie6 go to Windows Update
and check for any new Critical Updates.
there should be two.
