Printer networking
Hi,
i would like to network my printer so that from my laptop i can print on the desktop pc's printer downstairs.I know you need set up a home network to do this but i have done many times but it seems that when i the downstairs computer is shut down.the next day the home network wont work.It says i do not have the authority to open the shared documents.My laptop is xp and the desktop is windows me. Any suggestions? all help appreciated. james |

if you have the printer setup through the desktop in order to print from the network, you will have to have the desktop on if you want to print.
