How do you turn your desktop into a .jpg?

Hit the Print Scrn button (usually right of the F12 key) to put it on your clipboard, then use your favorite graphic program, do a paste, and save it as a jpg.

With the desktop showing, press the Print Screen key on the keyboard (may read "Prnt Scr"). That copies everything showing on the monitor to the clipboard.

Then open any picture editor...Paint will do...and paste the picture in. Save it as a .jpg using whatever name you like.

RR beat me by two minutes! :)

I didn't realize paint lets you choose what format to save it in till 5 seconds ago.

Thanks.

Paint didn't used to do jpg until Windows 2000 or maybe even XP, I forget... but yes, it didn't used to be that way.

And, they don't call me Roadrunner for nothing! Beep Beep!
