mswwinedrvm7.dll corrupt

Running WIN98SE, computer starts and runs OK, but occasionally will freeze
or indicate a fault.

I ran "sfc" scan for altered files, and found this file mswwinedrvm7.dll
corrupt. Tried to restore from WIN98SE disk, couldn't find it.

Did GOOGLE, nothing.

So I assume this file that resides in Window/system is NOT a WIN98 DLL.

Can anyone identify it or what program does it belong to.

Mine is 1KB big , Application Extension 8/7/83 9:41PM

Looking at file date, this is by far too old to have come from anything I know.

Have you ever been to the game site for America's Army, downloaded or maybe played an on-line game there?

Did you know that 90% of all laptop repairs can be avoided by regular cleaning? Just take a can of compressed air and clean the ventilation areas, fans, etc. Your computer will run cooler with fewer problems.

No not to my knowledge.

I did notice that site was the only one that GOOGLE returned, but thought
nothing of it.

I didn't either, but this is a total mystery file. It goes to the game forum, but the link just times out. Wish I could get a look at it.

Now Google doesn't list anything at all. That file name is too long for an official Microsoft file. I think it's a red herring, you might do well to get a decent virus and spyware scan.
