Ok, right now i have 2 hard disks- a c and a d both 200gb. All of itunes songs were in the c drive but since it all stopped (bearings dead or something :S)

i had to install xp on the d drive and use that as the master drive (if im using terms correctly).

I still hav songs on the ipod but nt on the computer. Is there any way i could add new songs whilst not having to lose my current ones?

Thanks a lot, TrueBoi

Try going into my computer, then go tools > folder options > view and click on show hidden and system files in advanced settings . Click Ok. Go into your ipod in my computer and look for the 'iPod_Control' Folder and go into it, then go into the music folder. All the folders in there (F01, F02 etc..) contain all your music that is copyed to your iPod , All the songs have been renamed to 4 letter random names. But you can copy all these folders to your pc and copy the music back after you copy new music onto it or if you decide to wipe your ipod before you decide to put the music back.
Note that if you delete the music from the music folder on your ipod, the songs will still appear on your iPod but when you play they will keep skipping to the next song since you deleted the songs but you can always put the folders back or through iTunes. Hope this helps ;)
