For some reason after getting my hard drive back from an overhaul some aspects of web pages won't show....ie can't transfer funds on internet banking and I also can't load Norton (major error comes up).

I've tried clearing caches and adjusting web controls........one lost soul here as I'm definately no computer tech.

Running Windows 2000 prof.

after getting my hard drive back from an overhaul

Hi,

What did they do to your hard drive ? Reinstall win2k Pro ?

What Internet Explorer version are you running ? A lot of modern internet banking sites rely on IE6 w/ 128-bit encryption. I would consider paying a visit to the Windows Update site and downloading all the updates.

To check IE version open up a browser window and click Help > About.

Having done so clear your cookies, temporary internet files, and retry your banking.

What Norton software are you using ?

Thanks

Was the overhaul due to virii? Perhaps they set your security in IE high to prevent future infections?

I just had my hard drive upgraded and a CD burner installed. No virus.

I'm trying to install Norton 2003 (had it on prior to upgrade).

I can't figure out what version of IE I have......the version space is blank. I believe it's 6 or higher.

Tried clearing cookies, temp files and adjusting security levels.

Keep the wheels turning.'

Thanks

Have you downloaded all the windows updates ? :)

Your hard drive was upgraded ? Your main hard drive ? So did you reinstall windows or did the comp shop ? or did you use an image ?
