I just reinstalled win 98 on my compaq presario 7360 desktop without using quickrestore cd's (lost them), and now Win98 can't find the PCI Bridge drivers...I went to the compaq page to download them but couldn't find them.

After reading some of the posts here I now know I shouldn't have wiped the HDD clean before reinstalling Win98, and that I probably erased the partition w/the compaq stuff on it for this computer.

I can get everything to work, but still get a yellow exclamation point next to "Other Devices>PCI Bridge" in Device Mgr.

How can I get either the drivers or whatever I need fix this?

What is the PCI Bridge and what does it connect and how can I get Win98 to recognize it?

If someone can fix this I'll be your best friend!!!!!!!!

I found the right drivers! It needed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers.
Thanks for the help!
Everything is up and running after uninstalling modem and sound, installing Via 4 in 1 drivers, and then re-installing modem & sound.

Did I know when I bought a Compaq that it would bring me such joy? No, I just didn't research before buying. It won't happen again though. Live and learn.
