I keep getting these port scan pop ups on my computer. It goes by NT Kernel somthing and the file name is ntoskrnl.exe. I had one before called seekmo and I deleted it. Does anyone have an idea what this ntoskrnl.exe is, and can I delete it. I searched the file and its on my C drive and am unsure if it will mess anything up if I delete it. Please help if you can

Thank you

PS
These port scans pop up t all times not just when on the net.

I found this (http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/ntoskrnl/) read it and i should suggest you post a Hijack This log in Cyber safety forum.
Do you have any Kernel products installed?

Fist as chrissy suggested you need to make a post in the Cyber Safety forum here at CTH. They will likely have you install and run a program called HijackThis. It will make a log file they will want you to post the log so the experts can read it and tell you what if anything needs to be done. As for the ntoskrnl.exe that is a Windows System file that Windows NEEDS to have in place to boot the computer.
