Hi all!!

I have a Microsoft Forcefeedback steering wheel that I recently acquired for a cool $25.

However, it does not work on my dual boot 98SE/XP machine. It is a game-port version steering wheel which is not XP compatible.

That is fine and all, so I tried in on the 98SE side with no luck. The system recognizes that it is installed and returns its status as "OK", but it does not work in any games, and when i try to adjust the properties Windows reports that it is not installed correctly.

I have a SB Live 5.1 gamer with the newest drivers for a gameport.

The steering wheel does work, as it works just fine on my crappy AMD 400 machine running Windows ME.

Any ideas? I am all out.

Regards,

Darren.

Have you upgraded DirectX?

If not you might give that a try.
