File extension problems

hi all

I have a little problem with my downloaded file. Maybe it's known to you all the various torrent clients as bitlord, azureus, qtorrent, bitorrent and others. My problem is that some movies i downloaded from there are splitted. This is not the problem, the problem is that when i combine them i get a file with the .out file extension. Now, this is some sort of output file. My question is, what program i should use to convert this file into a viewable media file:confused:

I had a look on the internet and found one website that said ' OUT is the file extension for the Output file associated with Microsoft C. ' Couldnt find anything about 'Microsoft C' though, its a start though ;)
