every tine I press the letters (f , r , e) I get weird stuff like find files and stuff, how can I turn that junk off>>>thanks<Kelly

You usually get those type of shortcuts when you have another key (such as the Windows key or the Alt or Ctrl keys) pressed down at the same time that you strike one of the letter keys that has a shortcut attached to it.
Perhaps one of these keys on your keyboard is stuck, and therefore you're getting the shortcut instead of the letter.
Try giving your keyboard a thorough surface cleaning and perhaps used compressed air on it to clear away any debris........see if that helps.

You're welcome. Please let me know how things work out for you.........and, btw.........don't immerse the keyboard in a tub/sink of water, it's not a good idea.
