"My Computer" can't double click it

How do I get "My Computer" to do what its supposed to? At the moment when I double click nothing happens, I know it did this before but I can't remember how I fixed it.

TIA

Have you tried restarting your computer?

After doing that it should open by double clicking, if it doesnt just check your disk for errors or just go the long way round to your computer.

Well its not something I use very often and I don't know how long its been like it this time. I tried restoring a backup from last weekend but it was the same so its over a week. The only reason I found out was when I was looking to see if the USB pen drive thingy was showing up.

Well if nothing helps like within a week or so of u trying everything you can think of. You maybe need to format your hard drive and then reinstall everything, this will work 100% just the fact of losing everything on your computer unless you have some files that can be uploaded onto a floppy

Do you have the free "TwealUI" installed?
I know that it has a "Repair" option to Rebuild Icons,
Rebuild Icon Associations, etc.

I have never needed to use those options,
don't know if it would fix your prob or not, but
Rebuild Icon Associations sounds pretty good.

Info/download for TweakUI:
