What should I do if the response to my question just responds to side issue of my question,but doesn't address my main question? The topic is seen as answered,+even my followup to the question asking the main question is usually not responded to:hmm:

A response to your thread doesn't mean or even show it was answered.. It simply shows there was a response !!

Generally when a question, or the main part of a question, isn't answered, it means nobody has come along yet who knows the answer.

sometimes the side question answer is very important to the overall answer. You should bump the question if you do't get additional reply in 24 hours because sometimes the question is either forgotten or the person who started to help is unavailable or they don't have the answer.
