Emulator
Hi Guys, Does anyone know of a simple game or program that is windows based but I can use a windows emulator to play it on my linux system? I appreciate any help.
Oh, also, where I can get a free windows emulator that is compatible with Red hat. Thank you. |

check out wine, its free and will run some windows programs in linux. However, linux is very limited when it comes to games. Its going to be hit and miss. Some might work and some will not.
If you have specific games you want to run in linux you need to post the names, maybe someone here has experience with the game and will know whether or not it will work with linux. Or you can search google using the "run (game name) in linux" as keywords.

What kind of and programs that are windows, based using WINE, can be run on a Linux OS? Does it matter what flavor of Linux if i use WINE? Thanks for your help.

that info is on their website, too many to mention here. That is why I gave you that link in the previous post. As far as flavor, I don't use it so I really could not tell you fer sur but it should work with most of the major ones, you may have to do your own configuration.

I think wine might come with redhat if you have a fairly recent version. The documentation is helpful and there's lots of tutorials online if you google.
