restarting

When I restart my computer it says: Detecting floppy drive A media...
insert system disk and press enter...
the only way i can get my compter rebooted is to shut everything down and let it sit for a while then restart. does anyone know what my problem may be...I know very little about coputers..

It sounds like you might be experiencing a heat problem. Remove the sides (or case cover) from your computer and see what shape it's in inside. If it's covered in dirt then you'll need to vacuum it out - you can also use some "canned air" to blow all the dirt from the fans, heatsinks, etc, just make sure that your computer is grounded while you're doing this since the vacuuming and blowing cause a lot of static.
