%systemdrive% folder - literally

Had a user notice when he logged into his workstation (windows 2000 professional) that if you double-click "my computer" - there is a folder under there that is literally called "%systemdrive%" (sic).

Within the literally named %systemdrive% folder there are other folders that appear to be profile related. His own profile appears to be fine and intact.

Anyone have any clues as to how this might have happened?

%systemdrive% looks like a script command. Perhaps some script has gone awry.
