Can't access email

Hello all,
For the past month or so, I haven't been able to access my email account, which is a stock Yahoo account. Not only that, but some websites that contain "secure and nonsecure" information are also being blocked. Everything else seems to work fine. I was wondering if anyone would know what my computer's problem might be? I have tried turning off every firewall and every piece of protection software on my computer, and it doesn't work. Also, I've tried going to Internet Options, and reverting all of the Secuirty options to default, to no avail. I'm really starting to get mad at this computer, I just can't think of what the problem could be. It's escalated in the last couple of days to not allowing any outside access to my computer, like the Steam server or other servers. I have a feeling the problem might lie with my virus protection program, Norton AntiVirus and Internet Security, and I've already decided to get a new virus protection program.
