How do I remove a search engine from Firefox?

Hi everyone. You know the search engines in the upper right hand corner of Firefox. How do I remove one of those?

Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
Delete whatever search plugin you want (eg. yahoo.src). You don't have to delete its associated image, but there's no point keeping it.

Unfortunately the search engine that I want to remove is not listed in there.

well if you might be a little more specfic as to which search engine you want to delete instead of playing 20 questions we might get the correct answer for you in one.

Also, specifying which version of FF you are using will help. For FF 2.0 you can select manage search engines from the pull down menu in the search engine area.
