Windows Tweak

I read the Win98 tweak article about getting into the MSDOS.SYS and making adjustments unfortunately my computer did not have the following entries in that MSDOS.SYS file:
LoadTop and LOGO=

In the System.ini under the [386Enh] file I did not see the :
LocalLoadHigh or the MinSPs lines.

Hi jdunn...they're really not needed unless you have specific problems. The MinSPs settings in system.ini, for example, only needs to be there if you come across stack page faults. I have never had those settings in system.ini. If you don't get specific errors, there's no point in "tweaking" msdos.sys. Windows, by default, allocates four stack pages for drivers, without the need to specify anything higher in system, ini. So, as a default, it won't be there, if you get my drift. You'd just be allocating memory to something that's not needed. Just ask Spider - he worries about the 4K of memory that is allocated to each stack page. LOL.

Well Spider...we Irish have thick skin by default. My usual MinSPs=8 will be the reply.

Gosh...I'll bet you believed Bill Gates when he said that 64K of memory was all anyone would need.
