internet explorer

my internet explorer will not open internet banking and just comes up with the page this page cannot be displayed when i try to go to the login page any help on what settings to change.

f you can see normal (http) Web pages but can't see secure (https) Web pages their may be several causes.


Check the date and time on your computer. If your date and time are behind the current date and time then you may not be able to view secure Web sites.
Check your proxy settings. If you are connected through a Local Area Network (LAN) then make sure that you have outbound access through port 443 for secure https Web sites.

Open Internet Explorer and select the Help menu.

Select About Internet Explorer.

The Cipher Strength should read 128 bit. If it reads less than this you will need to upgrade your Web browser. Please follow the link below to download the latest 128 bit Xtra version of Internet Explorer.

Click the OK button.

Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.

Select the Advanced tab and scroll to the Security section.

Check the settings for SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 are ticked.

Click the OK button.

I have tried all these but still no secure pages can be accessed

Have you tried tools internet options
emptying your temp files and cookies and setting the temp file size to 50mb

also see this thread with the same problem and work through the solution

Still having problems please let me know
