I recently switched from DSL to Cable internet, and now I'm getting these insessant popups that are always "Windows needs fixing -> helpfixpc.com" or something to that affect. I don't even have to be browsing the internet for them to pop-up, but I do have to be online. I'm using Win XP, browsing on Firefox, pop-up blocker is on. I never had them on DSL. They're clearly not legit, and I always exit them, but they pop-up like every 5 minutes or so. I step away from my computer for a couple hours, and I've got 300 open. It's heinously annoying.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It sounds like you've just picked up some spyware.
Your best bet is to read this post (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86677) first about how to get and use Hijack This.
Once you have a Hijack This log, don't try to fix anything, just start a new thread in the Cyber Safety forum (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) and paste your Hijack This log in for the experts there to analyze and help you get rid of the malware.
Please do not post your log here. Please post your log in the Cyber Safety forum (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) forum.
Cyber Safety is always busy but they will get to you. Please be patient.

Okay. I should also mention that I am using Spy-bot with the Tea-Timer option. I forgot to mention that. But I'll try your suggestion. Thanks
