got 40 gb hard disk and long time back i made 3 partition to use xp..

C: 3.95gb NTFS
D: 5.94gb FAT32
E: 27.3gb FAT32

Than few months back i installed 2000 server and now i havent got no space left in c, i am trying to run a website from my computer but cause of no space in c, it doesnt work, well it works when i delete something from c: and make some space but as soon as that space is filled the website stops working i wanted to know if i can format c and d and make it C: or make D very small without touching E:
Anyone got any idea if this can be done? I would really appreciate ur comments and ur help.
Thanks

i've got your problem, you want to increase windows partition, unfortunately you won't be able to perform this without using 3d party partition (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/)software, because windows doesn't allow to repartition the existet system partition without reformating it. among partition progs i'd recomend you disk director, coz is consists not only of partitinon manager, but it includes other utilities which are very useful, i point out it because i don't like spending money on utility that i will use only a couple of times, and additional progs make benefit. but it's up to you what to choose, also you can use a free partition manager, but i'd not advice them if you really value your data.

I tried using the disk director and instead of D i tried to merge e into c: as i had some registered prpgrams in d: and it would have saved me all that time installing them again but now i havent got no E: :(

yes, it could happen because you didn't make file system on e: drive NTFS, at first you need to convert file system and then to merge.

i think that there is a chance to restore e: partition, what was lost, i told that you've tried using disk director, so it has an utility Recovery Expert, it can recover deleted or lost partitions. if it won't help and if you need your data stored there, i think you will need to use special recovery prog getDataBack for NTFS, so you can find it here (http://www.runtime.org/).
