Suggestion...
if someone posts in the wrong forum it would be nice to be made aware if the post is moved or deleted.
i spent 20mins last night posting a issue i had only to find out the post was deleted or moved without my knowledge. today, i had to repost the whole thing cuz i couldnt find it. its very frustrating and i can just imagine some power hungry mod moving my post for the most miniscule reason. i apologize in advance if i am incorrect but i have looked everywhere for it. i know that my first post went through because i had a few replies to it. |

Where did you first post it?? you have two identical posts in xp.. usually a mod will tell you if it has been moved either by adding a note at the bottom or my marking the title

I just merged both your posts back together. Apparently, you found the original - it was never moved, by the way.
Signed, "some power hungry mod".

When a post is moved, a "redirect" remains in the orginal forum. In other words, the title remains and when clicked on, it sends you to the post in its new forum.
When I move a post to a more appropriate forum, I leave the redirect in place for a week. To find a post by a particular user...including yourself...at the top of each CTH page is a link to Search. Click it, click Advanced Search, type in the name you're looking for in the User Name field, click the Search Now button near the bottom. |
