Suggestion...

if someone posts in the wrong forum it would be nice to be made aware if the post is moved or deleted.

i spent 20mins last night posting a issue i had only to find out the post was deleted or moved without my knowledge. today, i had to repost the whole thing cuz i couldnt find it.

its very frustrating and i can just imagine some power hungry mod moving my post for the most miniscule reason.

i apologize in advance if i am incorrect but i have looked everywhere for it.
i know that my first post went through because i had a few replies to it.

Where did you first post it?? you have two identical posts in xp.. usually a mod will tell you if it has been moved either by adding a note at the bottom or my marking the title

I just merged both your posts back together. Apparently, you found the original - it was never moved, by the way.

When a post is moved, a "redirect" remains in the orginal forum. In other words, the title remains and when clicked on, it sends you to the post in its new forum.

When I move a post to a more appropriate forum, I leave the redirect in place for a week.

To find a post by a particular user...including yourself...at the top of each CTH page is a link to Search. Click it, click Advanced Search, type in the name you're looking for in the User Name field, click the Search Now button near the bottom.

What if it was just a hungry mod? I'm not one to want power but I do like the odd duck sammich.
