On one of the computers I have at my home, I visit some pages and it takes forever to load. It is the same pages all the time. One example would be visits to Yahoo Games where I sign into the site and then the next page there will be a link to take me to the Yahoo game of my choice. When I click on that link, I can wait for up to 10 minutes before it will finally load to the next page. Is there a problem that I am having that I may not know about and could be a quick fix? Just curious if anyone can help me. Thank you.

Could be lots of things but you don't give much to go on.
What OS are you using?
What browser do you use? If more than 1 does it happen with all of them?
What type of internet connection do you have, dialup, DSL, cable?
What internet security software are you using, if any? Norton's perhaps?
Are you using a firewall?
Are the other computers in your house sharing the internet connection through a router?
Is there anything else you can think of I didn't ask that might be helpful?
Post some links to the sites. Could be the servers are very busy and everyone has the problem.
Also wonder why you don't get a time out message when trying to connect. 10 minutes is an awful long time, trying to load a page.

Sorry that I did not include more information. I guess that would have been helpful from the beginning. Anyway here is the info you requested:
What OS are you using?
Windows XP
What browser do you use? If more than 1 does it happen with all of them?
It happens with both IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.5
What type of internet connection do you have, dialup, DSL, cable?
Cable
What internet security software are you using, if any? Norton's perhaps?
Well, the computer seems to have Norton on it. This is actually not my computer. It is my roommate's computer so I am not extremely familiar with everything it has on here. I did just download for it AVG and Spybot, as they have worked wonders for me.
Are you using a firewall?
I believe the Norton Firewall is active
Are the other computers in your house sharing the internet connection through a router?
My laptop is actually hooked up through the same internet connection via a wireless router. I have had no problems on my laptop and it seems to work fine.
Is there anything else you can think of I didn't ask that might be helpful?
Well, I am not too certain that everything is alright with this computer. There are a lot of things that were put on here that I don't know if it helped at all. I downloaded hijack this on here in case that was needed for any other issues that there might be with other parts of the computer. I am thinking about just posting a thread in another forum just to find out if someone can see if there is anything wrong with it that I am just not able to see with what little knowledge I have.
As far as what websites are delayed, I am really not certain. This is the one that was found out from the beginning. I do not use this computer for anything except for maybe running anti-virus and some other things to clean up. Other than that, I will have to find out from my roommate what other sites there have been problems with.
Thanks for your help, in advance!
