Setting Passwords in 2000

Hey all,

While in another location, I set-up my software/user preferences under the position of user/administrators. Well, I moved the computer to my home location, and decided to set up passwords, since others live in the home, and this computer is strictly for business.

I set up an administrator password for "administrators" just in case I have to call and have someone check or tweak my computer while I am travelling.

I then set up my main password account under my name. The rub is this; I foolishly thought that when I highlighted user, put my name in the box and inputted the password, it would place my info over the user account, which is the tweaked account I wanted. Now I have a basic admin acct with my name and password on it, and none of my added software, and a user account that that I can access without a password, with the software I added earlier!

If I pull up the "user" acct under "properties" and change user to my name, and password, after deleteing my first "named" acct and password, will this resolve the problem?

I only want one admin acct with a password; then my acct with my name and a password. I do not want anyone who would know to type in "user" or "guest" for that matter, without a password, to have access to my computer.

So, am I on the right track? What should I do?

Your help, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Ollie.
