Hi, Let me first provide you a small introduction of my PC and the purpose of using Win Serv 2003.

Environment : One PC (No Network)

OS : Windows Server 2003 R2

Computer Name: MAIN

Purpose : To run SQL server 2005 Enterprice Edition.

To develop a Software which includes a distributed db. This is for my BSc final yr project. Problam : I need to share a folder with the permission to access this folder by a specific uder loged on to the server. Therefore I share a folder call "Snapshot" with the permission to log on as Admin. However it throws an exception stating that SQL server agent cannot access this folder throught the current login. Therefore I did a simple test. I logged in as the addministrator and I shared a folder (in C drive), then I set the permission for (\\MAIN\Administrator) which is the current login. Also I gave security rights to (\\MAIN\Administrator).

Please help me as I am clueless as to how this is possible. I am the Administrator (Logged In) an I create a folder with sharing for Admin and Every one and also Security.

WHY cant I access??

Check the login info under services and see what account the service is logging in under.
