Problems With Programs and Sites that Require Login

i am having problems signing into yahoo messenger...it won't let me sign in...it just keeps going and going and nothing...i am also having problems with other programs that require a sign in...msn messenger wonn't sign in either as well as i can't access my hotmail account...i can access my yahoo mail account, but only through the yahoo sign in on my ie bar...if i was to sign into yahoo without it, it would time out and not login...also, some other programs won't operate right either...one of my poker sites i use logs me in, but doesn't give me full access...i believe this is all interrelated...can you tell me what i may be able to do to resolve this issue?

i am able to sign in on aim and forums, but web mail and other messengers and online programs requiring sign in not able to...i remember having this problem on my mom's computer a while back, but i dont recall what i did to troubleshoot it...any suggesstions?

turns out that it isnt my computer...i am able to use everything that was in question above on another connetion...has to be problems with the network my apartment building has set up...do you know what that might be that is causing such problems?
