I'd setup my partitions first then install XP first. Do your homework so as not to loose the ability to boot to Windows XP. Grub has to be in the right place in order to see the Window partition. Here's a tutorial on setting up a dual boot system;

Do your Googling and read everything you can find before you start.

Last comment; Have you checked out Ubuntu Linux? Easy to install and easy to use. Have fun.

It's possible but why would you want SuSE and Knoppix?
Surely you could use a Knoppix LiveCD and save the install hastle, or just use SuSE?
