Hi kids...

Okay, so I was stupid. I let a friend install the IE7 Release Candidate on my computer. He uninstalled it immediately and IE6 became the default browser again.

Everything seemed fine, but I realise I can no longer open links in a new window by clicking on them (right clicking and choosing that option still works). Also, printing from the browser has stopped working.

I found out that this is a common issue for those who have tried IE7, but Microsoft is not offering much help. I've tried the options that they offered on one of their help pages, but no luck. Supposedly there is also a hotfix offered by Microsoft, but I would have to call them / email them for it and they want $45 bucks for this (which is insane considering it's THEIR software that caused the issue). But this IS Micro$oft we're talking about... no big surprise there...

And BTW, I can't do a restore to an earlier date as I had that feature turned off at the time...d'oh!

So, any help? Any suggestions? This is really annoying.

(oh, and don't suggest Firfeox or other browsers... I know all about them. Sometimes you just gotta use IE.)

Thanks!

Okay, I figured it out... for some reason the IE Pop-up blocker was enabled (I use the Googlebar one, so I usually have the IE one disabled). Not only was it enabled, but set to high (block ALL popups).

Reset this, now it's fine.

Thanks for all your help! ;-)
