Exclamation IE6 Google links redirecting me to another search site. HELP

Well im using IE6 and recently google links have been redirecting me to a retarted "Top Searches For "**" Topic!" site. It hasnt happened to me before and if i copy the link below the search (The green writing in google searches) and paste it into my url bar they work normally-taking me to the correct site.
Any ideas of how to fix this? I ran a scan with Symantec AntiVirus but i dont trust it because it sucks.
Any free spyware/virus removers would be good please.
Help would be better

Same things happening to me! It's not a problem when using Firefox ..... but believe it or not I prefer using IE.

I have XP firewall running + Zone Alarm Free. I also use Spyot blaster, Sypbot Search & destroy, Hijack this, Ad Aware, AVG Free & CCleaner.

I'm out of ideas as to how to remove this problem. Bloody annoying. I've never had anything like this quite as bad! It's evaded everything I've listed above!

Same here. I've found & fixed anything that looked odgy in Hijack this using the very handy utility on this page;

http://www.hijackthis.de/index.php?langselect=english,

Spybot Search & destroy also turned up 14 items, all of which were fixed but the problem remained. Ad Aware nearly always finds something although it never seems to actually solve any problems! I'm not sure of the worth of CCleaner. I only downloaded it yesterday after someone on another forum recommended that I do so. It seemed like it was doing a lot of fixing & cleaning ....... but it didn't do anything for this problem. I don't know what to try next!

Any joy yet, Merch0?

I'm still trying to sort this. I'm getting really bored of downloading, installing & running anti-spyware software now! People keep recommending new things, all of which find something but none of which have solved the problem I'm having! Right pain in the arse this one.

MerchO, Morfeasss is trying to help you over in Cyber Safety. Apparently, you need to provide additional information in order for the infection to get cleaned up.

The Cyber Safety experts have advised us that running various pouplar spyware removal programs can often cause the more sophisticated spyware to become hidden or buried deeper. If you will provide the people in Cyber Safety with the information they need, they can ferret it out and show you how to remove it.

Really? That's interesting as I've been trying everything I can find to no avail. If this is the case then I might actually be making things worse!

Good to hear you got sorted out, Merch0. I wonder if those guys can help me? Where do I post my Hijack this log?
