Not Responding Problems
My friend is currently having some internet problems. Since her browser keeps freezing, here's what her problem is:
For the past 5 days or so, my Internet has been locking up. I use Firefox, but tried it in Internet Explorer and again, same thing. More specifically, this is what happens: I go online, go to any page, such as my college's web site, and browse. Then suddenly it'll freeze and say "Not responding" at the top of the page. I wait for about 20 seconds and it will resume as usual. A few minutes later, it'll do the exact same thing over again and this goes on until I close the net. I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of...virus scanned using 6 differentprograms, I've tried different wireless networks, nothing works. Some details...I use Windows XP, I am on a laptop (ASUS A3H, just bought it in May) using wireless (been using it for 3 years), and my ISP is Sympatico. What I use: Windows XP Firefox v. 1.5.0.7 ASUS A3H laptop Wireless Internet Any help would be very appreciated. |

Hi buddy. Download HijackThis from HERE
Choose "open".... It will auto install to C:\Program Files for you, just click on the "Unzip" button. Open HijackThis.exe. Click the "Scan" button........the Scan button will change to a "Save Log" button. Save the log and copy / paste the log into your next reply to the Cyber Safety Forum. <<<LINK Someone will then advise you on what to remove.
