I downloaded the latest version of Windows Live Messenger, an it sometimes doesn't open. Sometimes it opens 10 minutes later. Once in a while I'll get a message from Norton that pops up in a box that says the Messenger virus scanner couldn't start. I have done the updates through liveupdate, but that hasn't solved the problem yet. What I'd like to try and figure out is where the scanner is and how it can be turned off, I would guess in Norton.
