I'm trying to install W2K on an older computer(1999)This computer had Win 2K pro installed previously on a small harddrive(work station). Stepsons computer-purchased from work. I installed a 20GB drive for use as a PC. When I try to install Win2K the install seems to go well, but loops back to the Windows 2000 install wizard screen and asks for the same info all over again. If you re-enter the info, it just loops back again.

The BIOS are; Award v 4.51 PG
I've ran the Western Dig. diagnostic tool and the drive has no errors. I formatted the drive NTFS.

Any ideas on this one? Thanks in advance.

Either change the boot device order in the bios or take the CD out of the drive?

Thanks for your reply. If I remove the CD it stops at the wizard screen and asks for the CD with service pack 2 on it. I'm changing the battery for the BIOS, see if that make a difference. I think the BIOS were password protected, but I was able to remove the password. I think it's a BIOS problem of some kind. ?
