Periodically I receive a message, on startup, saying Nortons is not enabled but it is. Is there anything I can do or should do?

is that all the message says, if not, please give the full text? Also what version and package of Nortons do you have installed? Finally what operating system.

Thanks for prompt reply. Windows XP,Pro, Nortons Internet Security, Anti-Virus 2005 (I purchased online an upgrade (not subscription renewal) earlier this year), also have Nortons password Manager, version for Anti-Virus is 11.0.16.4 and for Security is 8.0.7.1. I will get back to you on full text - only happens periodically. brief text saying Norton's is not enabled, your computer may be at risk, click on this balloon.... but Norton's is enabled.

it seems to be a common problem with nortons and sp2. See this from microsoft. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883792) Scroll 2/3's down the page.
