Hey, I would like to apologize to all who took my(severe) criticisims personally. I am not a PC guru. Most of you guys that respond are. I was trying to get across the point that people wait forever for help. Having read some of the last few days post's, I see why. I haven't been here in a little while, and assumed most questions were straight forward and to the point. I now realize that is not the case. I guess there is only so much partial posting of problems you guy's can deal with. I just posted in the " Networking" forum for help(HA!!), and some of the questions were really hard to understand. I just want to say I respect anyone here who can decipher some of these posts and offer an answer. My eyes have been opened, and again, sorry if I pissed you guys off. Now answer my post:happy: . Seriously, I apologize, Dave

Yes the networking forum as well as CS and the OS forums do indeed see a number of posts that can't be answered in a yes or no fashion. Sometimes the thread can go to 4 or 5 pages before all the details are clear and a fix can be given. I'm happy that you have become aware of how much work goes into the forums here and that the mod's and members that offer help here should give themself and hand for quality work done. With all that said your question in networking has been answered now go have some networking fun scooter!

I used to think they slacked off on the replies as well, before I ALSO realised how complex some peoples questions were and why they weren't replied to in lightning speed. Nice to see an apology though eh?

General problem is given then you have to pry the details out of the OP, which could become an extensive question and answer ordeal lasting several days.

The irony of this post is, previously you've made complaints in this very forum about folks posting questions only to be not answered in a timely fashion. Yet you posted a question on the 18th (10.41pm my time), a reply was posted the very next day (19th), and here we are on the 20th (shoot, it's past midnight here, so that'd be the 21st), and you've yet to reply to the post trying to help you.

Telling folks that their help has helped you, has always been a "policy" of CTH. If you don't let the folks know, how the heck can they know their "help" has helped you.

I'm not picking on you in any way, it's just that you were so adament that someone "should" reply to all questions asked here, it was kinda explained to you the predicament about such "unanswered" posts, yet now you're saying your apology simply because you actually want help yourself!!

:p

Hey Lufbra, in no way did I post the apology to get help. It's just, like I said ,I haven't been here in a while, and in needing help and looking through the posts my eyes were opened. I never meant any disrespect in any post I've made here, and I thought I took the negative comments pretty well. I can't respond as often as I would like because of my work schedule( I know, I know ). I now understand and would like to become a productive member of the CTH society. Please forgive my ignorance. It won't happen again. Dave
