What kind of PSU have you got ? Sounds like your computer is drawing too much current fron the PSU.. What are the voltage readings before the game and during?

I have an Antect SP-350 350W PSU i don't know much about computers in general so don't leave any advicce out because it seems obvious lol

specs on voltage before:
Vcore= 1.38V
+3.3V= 3.43V
+5V= 5.06V
+12V= 12.41V
5Vsb= 5.12V
Vbat= 3.26 V

After :
Vcore=0.99V
+3.3V=2.29V
+5V=4.01V
+12V=9.98V
5Vsb=4.00V
Vbat=1.50V

After i close the game they go right back to where they were and my comp just randomly rebooted a little while back, hope all this helps, thanks a ton.

Thats really strange, I think you should try a more powerfull PSU. Maybe that one is faulty or not pumping out enough power?

The other very strange part is that i have had the computer for almost only a year now, and this has just started happening within the last month. Also one other side note is that the school i am going to installed a generator and flicked the power on and off about 3 times in rappid succession. I thought that may have something to do with it, also a bootleg version of halo was intalled so you don't need the disk to play ,that didn't effect anythnig i am pretty sure. One last note i should make is that also while running "Spybot search and destroy", the computer would shut down in the same fasion while playing video games before it could complete the entire computer scan , at this point i can run spybot without problems but it still does it with video games. Thanks for all of the help , i hopethis could give any extra insight into what the problem may be. Many thanks for the help and on top of that the proptness of which i got said help.

Many thanks

I think your PSU must be on its way out, even though its a well known branded one. Since it seems to shutdown to pc in intensive tasks it must mean its not generating enough power to the computer causing it to flick off.

Thanks a ton, are there any PSU's i should tend to avoid getting, and also are most all PSU's compatable with a Asus AX4G-UN motherboard (if you know).

Thank you very much for all of your help

As long as the PSU has the required connections everything should be fine. Keep away from unkown brands. Stick to the well knowns, such as - Enermax, ThermalTake, Antec, OCZ, etc.

Just put in a new power supply, 600W went to run the program that i normally do to test the voltage readings and the problem is not fixed. i was wondering if it could be a bad power stip or maybe the outlet isn't working well enough, or should i start trouble shooting my video card??

So, i have been messing around with this computer for a while now, after everything i have done, the voltages still are dropping but only withone game. The game is called Silkroad, not sure if anyone plays it but ok. I took the V card out of my comp and when i go to start silkroad it doesn't work like it shouldn't, it too taxing for on board graphics, but an application for the game oppens before the game does, it is called game guard ( prevents hacking and botting). The voltages drop right after that app starts, and ends when it closes, reguardless of any highperformance graphics being rendered. Also Halo works fine after i re installed it. This make me thing so *** is actually donig this to my comp. could it be the MoBo or just the program effing up something else, brand new Broadway 600W PSU in the comp as well BTW...

sorry if this seems like a wall of text, thanks for any extra help.
