Are you able to access your CMOS settings again and change the boot order back to C as first boot device?

It sounds like more was altered in the BIOS that just the
boot sequence.

Just a note here...the BIOS is one place you definitely want
to be "paying attention". Incorrect settings can lead you to
just where you are, a machine with no access.

Your going to have to pull the CMOS battery and this, in turn,
will put the BIOS settings back to default.

Spider is right, it sure sounds like you've done something more than just change the boot order........if you had changed it from C to A, and did not have a disk in Drive A, the boot would continue until it came across the bootable system files, so it should have eventually booted from C whether it is first boot device or third boot device, so long as you didn't have any disks in the floppy or CDROM drives.

If you know the make and model of the motherboard so that you can check the website for the manual, or you have the manual handy, there may be jumper settings to clear the CMOS instead of pulling the battery.

That did it :) .. but now when i try to install windows 2000 i get a error using my 2nd boot disk that says File \halacpi.dll could not be loaded the error code is 7. I have made 2 sets of boot disks and allways get a error on the 2nd boot disk. :(

Have you tried installing by booting from the install CD? Of course you'd have to change the boot order in your BIOS again to boot from CD first.
