Hey im trying to port forward my bt hub modem/router, i have got my static ip address running and typing in my routers ip address to gain access but it wont let me access it, followed the instructions on portforwarding website but i still cant access. Had a similar problem with my netgear setup. Im not an experienced pc buff but im no novice and its stumping me. Im running the router through ethernet at the moment, anyone got a hub who can help me out. this is driving me :curse: cheers Gee

What is your exact network setup and what are you trying to do? Please tell us what make and model modem you have.

Im using a bt home hub modem/router and a netgear wg111 wireless adapter (but also trying the router over ethernet to see if this helps me), i am trying to get a static ip address which i can do successfully then access the router settings of the home hub, using my static address as the access. Just like i did with my netgear router so i can port forward a port for utorrent. but im not able to access the router settings.

You get an answer to this yet?
It stumped me too for while. The hub's homepage is on 192.168.1.254 as opposed to my old BT router which was on 192.168.0.1.
You need to be logged in as an admin account to get at the advanced settings.
You then use the Toolbox, Game & Application Sharing Menu. there's a wizard to add pre-configured games/applications. Couple of clicks and away you go.
Hope you've got there already.
