Hi kenshinvm...welcome.
1. Can you see them in DOS?
2. Might they be unchecked (hidden) in TweakUI if you have that installed?
3. Control Panel > System applet > Performance tab. Any mention of running in MS-DOS Compatability Mode?
4. If this happened within the past few days, try a scanreg /restore after restarting in DOS Mode. Chose a registry backup dated prior to when the problem started (but not the oldest one.)
I'm assuming that if you know your way around the BIOS, the above makes sense to you. If not, post back. :)

Hi kenshinvm - boot into Safe Mode and look in Device Manager. Can you see them now? If so, try removing them and see if Windows detects new hardware when you reboot. If this doesnt work, go to Start > Run and type:
regedit
then OK. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\VxD\IOS and look for a value named "NoIDE". If its there, delete it, close regedit and reboot.
Let us know how you get on.
