Graphics card drivers?

hey all,
I read a post in these forums awhile ago where someone said there was a better driver to download for NVIDIA graphics cards... They said that if you use the other drivers, your graphics will perform better than the Nvidia drivers do. I can't seem to find this topic... if anyone knows what i'm talking about, feel free to help me out :)
